Sale of Kaupthing Bank Sverige to Ålandsbanken finalized


Reference is made to a press release from Kaupthing Bank dated 16 February 2009, regarding the sale of Kaupthing Bank Sverige AB. The transaction, between Kaupthing Sverige AB  (parent company of Kaupthing Bank Sverige AB and subsidiary of Kaupthing Bank hf.) as seller and Ålandsbanken Abp as purchaser, has now been finalized and is no longer subject to any closing terms and conditions or regulatory approval.
