Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander Ltd is a financial services group providing banking, investment management and asset finance services.
Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander Ltd (KSF) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Northern European Investment Bank, Kaupthing Bank hf (KB), which is registered in Iceland.
Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander Ltd and Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander (Isle of Man) Ltd carry out the Group's traditional banking activities in the UK for a broad spectrum of corporate and private customers. In addition, they also carry out asset management activities, generally on a discretionary basis, for private clients, charities and institutions. The Group’s asset management activities in the UK are carried out through Singer & Friedlander Investment Management Limited (SFIM). As at 31 December 2007, SFIM managed £3.5 billion from our offices in London and the Isle of Man.
As at 31 May 2008 the Group had 773 employees at various locations within the UK and Isle of Man. The head office is located in the West End of London.
The Group was listed on the London Stock Exchange from 1987 until August 2005, when the Group was acquired by Kaupthing Holdings UK Limited, a subsidiary of Kaupthing Bank hf. Kaupthing Bank is an Investment Bank that provides a full range of corporate banking services. Kaupthing Bank is the largest bank in Iceland and the company is listed on the Icelandic Stock Exchange.
