Edge Deposits

The deposits of "Edge" retail depositors were transferred by the Treasury to ING Direct, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the ING Group, which now operates "Edge" accounts from its UK branch. The Financial Services Compensation Scheme and the Treasury provided funds to ING Direct, to back these retail deposits in full.
